Transforming the Humble Gourd
by Sioux George

Come and join us at a gourd summer camp! Sioux George will be teaching a class about working with gourds.

There will be cleaning, dyeing, cutting, painting, drilling, and embellishing. The end results will be vessels, drums, masks, rain sticks, or whatever your art desires. The goal is to have a finished gourd every day.

Beware: Gourds have been known to be habit-forming.

No experience necessary. Desire to have fun with gourds is required.

Other Classes offered this year: Handmade Paper & Mixed Media; Explorations in Color Photography; Let the Crazy Child Write; Chinese Brush and Other Watercolor; Improvisational Theatre; Landscape Painting in Oil and Acrylic; painting People; Basic Wood Carving for Beginners; Teamwork in Motion (Movement Games)
